No big plots twists yet, except maybe for the final scene.
Since the Alliance was destroyed, the past 3 episodes have
been busy explaining loose ends, and setting up the new plot
lines.

This episode concentrates the new awesome weapon Sloane has built
using information that Kaplan was able to decipher from
the Rambald artifacts, and his new alliance with the ex-Taliban
ally Achmad Kabir. But it turns out that the deal was just
an excuse to get the 400-year-old arhat statue which concealed
yet another piece of the Rambaldi puzzle.

So Sloane's plan isn't just to join the Alliance,
or retire with $100 mill, or to destroy the Alliance,
or get nukes or weapons. What does he want?

If it is true that Sark told Sloane he can be trusted
because he rescued him from an assasination attempt
- which we know Sark himself arranged using Sydney -
then Sark is playing Sloane.

Yet Sark seems oddly clueless in this episode.
He didn't know about the radiation device,
or the missing page fragment.
He doesn't seem to know much about the Rambaldi puzzle at all.
But he must have had some idea it was important as he was
the one who suggested to Sloane that they should pool their
resources and Rambaldi collections.
Does he have any idea at all where Sloane is taking them?

Also

Vaughn finds fake Francie's bug.
Fake Francie kills and frames the plumber.

FFrancie has a heart-to-heart talk with Sydney, which prompts
her to confess that she had thought that FFrancie was acting
weird but attributes that to her new relationship with Will.
Sydney still looks unsure when Francie hugs her.

Dixon first chooses his family over Sydney and the CIA,
then goes back to rescue Sydney and join the CIA.
He is not sure what his wife's reaction will be.

Will is now giving presentations at the CIA and providing
fresh new ideas. He points out that love-hate between
man & wife is deeper than politics or religion.
At least it is in this show.

a. new hairstyle/wig and costume

Grey hair. Old woman.

b. foreign accent/language
(so far, French, Italian, British, Russian, Hungarian)

For a change, Sydney does not speak any foreign language
or accent in this episode.

d. "see Sydney run/kick/jump/kick/shoot/swim/shower/sit-up" scene,

Hear Sydney yell at Kendall for not making better use of
spy satellites.
Sydney does sit-ups.

e. amazing gadget from Marshall/Rambaldi/Alliance

Marshall

Fake Francie's bugging devices were made by Marshall
Marshall's "M" symbol.
Cold Suit.

Rambaldi

100 Megawatt "Suitcase Neutron Bomb" which emits unstoppable
radiation that instantly cremates everybody without affecting
buildings or furniture. Can also be used as EMP weapon
to remotely destroy electronic circuits in planes etc.

USA

Echelon
Global electronic eavesdropping network featured in Eps 10 and 11

Keyhole Satellites (in this case KH-12)
Used to take pictures of the people burning up.

BTW, both the Echelon network and Keyhole satellites are
real so I thought they rated a special mention.

Achmad Kabir

His hammer and chisel (in a nice presentation case).

f. back-stabbing betrayal

Dixon turns his back on Sydney and the CIA to be with his wife.
Dixon turns his back on his wife to be with Sydney and the CIA.

He just can't win.

g. startling plot revelation/retcon/prophecy

Sloane makes a deal with Afghan warlord Achmad Kabir to destroy
his enemy. Which it turned out is not the USA, but Kabir's ex-wife.
Wives are always very important in this show.

Just as the CIA feared, the Rambaldi artifacts do contain
the blueprints for an apocalyptic weapon - an unstoppable
device that incinerates people.

Sloane had no interest in Kabir or the weapon after all.
He only wanted Kabir's 400-year-old arhat statue which
contained the missing page fragment of Rambaldi's manuscript.

h. cliffhanger that leads nowhere

Kabir's wife wouldn't leave with Sydney
and the bomb's about to go off!
Knocking her out fixed that.

Sydney's going to get her kneecap smashed and Dixon won't help.
Oh, but Dixon changed his mind and came to rescue her.

i. shocking new alliance

Sloane and Kabir.

j. Ford/Nokia product placement

Sydney is driving a blue Ford Focus ZX5

Marshall wants a Ford Focus too.
With big tyres and gold rims.
