- BPI: Disabled ???
- Posted by Henry on January 27th, 2004
Greetings. I've got an RCA cablemodem that works fine. When I go to the
built-in info server (192.168.100.1) and choose the Modem Technical
Details Status page, there is an entry that says 'BPI: Disabled'. I'm
just curious--what does this mean?
cheers,
Henry

Baseline Provacy is not enabled. Your MSO has not enabled BPI; which is a 56-60
bit encryption between your modem and the cable company CMTS.
