Comcast in Montgomery County MD Problems

Is anyone else having problems with outages and slow downs in or around
Montgomery County Maryland? Mine is down a lot recently and periodically
slows to less than a 28K MODEM.

Nothing BUT problems. Mine started in the spring, with all the rain,
and continue to this day. (In fact, I just had a shouting match with a
tech rep on the phone tonight.) I have multiple ticket numbers,
promises of credits, yada yada yada - I'm convinced that they're
farming everything out and no one hand knows what the other is doing.
Every tech that's come to my house tells me the problem is outside,
but no one can tell me what the repair status is. Meantime, I'm
resetting my connection several times a day.

I have sent them a letter detailing all these problems, and also
mailed a copy to the Montgomery County Consumer Affairs folks. I at
least got a form letter from them, so we'll see what transpires from
here. But, frankly, I think they have us over a barrel, and I'm about
ready to spring for DSL.

If anyone is having any kind of luck getting satisfaction from
Comcast?
