Hello

I just bought this modem under the obscure brandname of
Peabird. Their tech support can't be reached and their web site is a
joke, hence my asking here :-)

This modem is supposed to support voice, but, although running
"at+vcid=1" returns OK, no caller ID information is returned between
the first two RINGs. I checked with another modem that the POTS line
is fine and does send the CID info.

According to Conexant's web site, Its firmware SoftK56V_B2.1_V5.03.00
seems quite old, since the latest and greatest is
SoftK56V_B2.1_V7.02.00.03 as shown here:

=> Soooo... is it possible to update this modem, and if yes, how do I
find the firmware and update it?
