Which DC adapter for Sportster modem?
Posted by limeylew@gmail.com on November 4th, 2006

I have 2 USR Sportster Modems, (external, dial-up) model # 00568603
and # 00178602

Since I'm an electrical dunce, I would appreciate it if someone could
tell what voltage rating I should be looking for on the DC adapter for
these modems?

Your help will be appreciated.

Lewis.

9 V AC, 1000 MA for both. Do not use DC.

this an old thread, but you can contact USR. they supplied me with the part
number of the power supply.

the original 9 VAC / 1 amp supply worked fine. but another supply (non USR)
resulted in reduced speed. both had identical electrical specs.
