In a google search, I found your Jan 2003 posting *on this newsgroup
with the above subject line, asking about getting a ReplayTV IR
blaster to work with the Motorola DCT2224. I imagine you've resolved
the issue by now, but to play safe (and help any others with a similar
problem) am posting my solution, as well as privately emailing it to
you.

First, the code depends on which RTV unit you have. I have both an old
2000 model and a newer 4532. The code for the 2000 is 276, while it is
4476 for the 4532. At least in my case, if it turns on the unit, it
also controls it just fine.

As to the location of the IR sensor on the Motorola box, for placement
of the IR blaster, you should be able to see it if you shine a
flashlight on the front surface. I also think there's one on the back
face of the unit, but have not tried it yet. (It's marked if memory
serves me. The unit is a little hard to pull out so I didn't double
check.) On my front face, it's just to the right of the labels
"remote" and "power" which are just to the right of the channel
display.
