- Generically Speaking: Soft/Win Modems vs Controller Modems
- Posted by pgtr on April 6th, 2004
In starting to look for yet another V.92 I've noticed fewer software
based 'Win' modems than in the past. True?
I have an older/slower (550mhz) PC strugging to keep up as it is w/
Win2K and all the windows I typically have open at once - I don't
think a win modem would ever be right for me.
But where are we in the great debate between these two modems these
days?
