- 'hayes' modem w/ < 300 bps support?

I'm looking for a modem that can respond to 'AT' commands and connect
with equipment at 300 bps and below. Did such a modem ever exist?

Modems that were 0-300bps (Bell 103, or V.21 compatible) *only*, and with
Hayes AT capability, would be few. AT came along about the same time as
Bell 212 (or V.22) @ 1200. So I would look for a "Bell 212" w/AT, which
were very common in their time, and included Bell 103 capability.
Other speed modems might also include Bell 103, but as the top speeds began
to exceed 9600, some vendors did drop support for speeds below 2400, in the
same unit.
Brand names such as Hayes, Vadic, UDS, GDC, MultiTech, Microcom come to mind

I still have an old Volksmodem 12 that runs at 1200bps or 300bps.
Contact me via email if you want it. You'll be paying postage from
Australia, though.
Otherwise there is at least one on Ebay for US$10 including
documentation, software, and plug pack.
