- How do i make my 56k modem run like a 1200 Hayes?
- Posted by BSB on September 11th, 2003
I've got a Conexant soft K56modem (M). I'm also running Windows XP. I
need to slow it down and have it run like a 1200 baud Hayes (non
compress). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

If it's Hayes compatible, you should be ok.
I use something like this on one of my modems for 1200:
AT&FX4&C1&D2&K&Q6\N%C+MS=2,0,1200,1200DT
or maybe try (untested):
AT&F%C0\N0&K0+MS=V22B,1,1200,1200
Look at your docs for your command set and just set it up to what
you need.
