- Keep my old modem or send the new one back?
- Posted by Ken_B on July 2nd, 2004
I recently purchased a SMC8002CM cable modem, thinking I could use two cable
modems with the same ISP. Apparently I was wrong. (Why would I want to do
that, anyway? Beats the hell out of me, just seemed like a good idea at the
time.)
My current modem is a Toshiba PCX1100U, purchased from my ISP
(Cox-internet.com).
If anyone is familiar with both these modems, I'd like their opinion on
which is best.
Thanks and Happy Fourth of July '04.

I don't think it matters which is best, but which is supported by your ISP.
Don't they usually have a policy where they have a very short list of
supported CMs?
