- Linux WebServer Through LinkSys Router
- Posted by Buck Turgidson on August 2nd, 2003
I have a webserver on Linux that listens internally on port 7783. On my
LinkSys BEFSR41 router, I went to the UPnP Forwarding, and opened up
7783 externally, and forwarded it to the same internal port, but I can't
get to the server from the Internet. I also tried forwarding port 80 to
7783, but that didn't work either.
Any ideas on what I did wrong? I use Cox, if that makes a difference.

COX has port 80 blocked

But if I am using port 7783, and specify that as part of the URL,
wouldn't it allow it?
