Lucent Win Modem Driver Problems/NSIS Error
Posted by CS on November 9th, 2005

Due to declining connection speeds, I decided to see if there is an update
for the driver on my Lucent Win modem. My computer has version 8.27 of this
modem installed and, as it turns out, the most recent modem driver is
version 8.30. I downloaded the most recent driver from the Agere web site
and tried to install it. However, each time I try to go through the
installation, I get the following message:

NSIS error

Installer corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a failed
download or corruption from a virus. If desperate, try the /NCRC command
line switch (NOT recommended).

Is it possible I could get this driver somewhere other than from the Agere
web site, or do I just need to keep trying to download and install the
driver until I don't get this error message?
