Modem Configuratuion in XP/PRO.

I used to be able to access & effect above in win/98. But if & How
,same can be Done in XP/PRO.My Modem has Slowed considerably [from 50kb
to 24kb] Hence one wants to check it out..Help. jim

If the only thing you've changed is going from 98 to XP on the same
machine, and now the modem only connects at 24k vs. 50k, then I'd
guess it's likely a driver issue. Check for updated drivers for XP.

But are you sure that's all that has changed? For example, you may
have added or changed a device/handset on the phone line and that's
the cause. Try unplugging all the devices on the line and see if that
affects the connection speed.
