- Modem on Hold won't work
- Posted by granjan on February 10th, 2004
I recently installed an Agere v.92 LT WinModem in my Dell
Dimension L733r. The modem works fine with connections normally
about 49,333bps but I can't get MOH to work. My isp supports v92
and moh, call waiting is enabled, caller id is enabled. I can use
the 'place voice call' feature...seems to work fine, but I can't
receive a call. The caller just gets a busy signal and nothing
happens on my end. Any suggestions on what to do or check, etc.?
Thanks,
granjan

some setting like *70, to disable it when dialing out, in your dialing
properties? If you have CW, and it's not disabled, then a caller should
only get ringing, not a busy. If you can't find it, post your modem log,
so we can see what is happening. Good luck

You are right...*70 was still there. I thought I removed this,
but apparently not. Thanks for your help.

| Well, do you have Call-Waiting feature on your line? If so, do
you have
| some setting like *70, to disable it when dialing out, in your
dialing

should

modem log,
