Modem problem
Posted by grzybek on July 17th, 2003

Hi,
I have problem to run modem Zoltrix conexant Aquila 56K
in Windows 98.
System discovers him without problem.
Our telephone exchange system not give a sygnal
and I have to mark options "No wait on sygnal from server"
(something like that) in configuration. And this is one difference
from another exchange system ( our notional telecomunication company )
where this modem works fine.
Additional I must write atx0 in order to this modem start
dial at all.
And then modem only start call ( listen to tone dial ) and
finish works.
What could I set in at comman to try run this modem ?

I tried at&c0 , at&d0 and the same, still problem.

Thanks for help,

Regards,
grzybek

The atx0 is the same as checking the "Don't wait for dial tone" box that you
are already checking except that it is even more restrictive on what the
modem can report. Adding X3 to Extra settings should work the same and will
allow the modem to report busy signals (assuming it can recognize the busy
signal tones provided by that telco) and a few other things.

Do not use &c0 or &d0, they have nothing to do with dial tone recognition
which seems to be the only real problem you have.
