- modem speed help

I have a conexant external 56k modem and when it connects it shows me
a speed of 115200 speed. How can I get it to tell me the baud rate
like 36.4 k 44k etc. thanks for the help

First, you must use the correct and up-to-date driver for the modem. If it
still does not properly report the connect speed then add W2 to Extra
settings.
Check your modem log to see what the modem is now reporting, do not rely on
the info from the connection icon in the systray.
