I seem to have slowed my cable modem to a crawl somehow. The last thing I
added was spybot and now it seems that it takes about 15 seconds before a
page starts to load then it will crank it in. Once on a site navigation is
fine but surfing to new sites is painfully slow. Any one help here?

Does Spybot install a proxy server? Go to the Internet Options,
Connections, and LAN settings. See if the Use Proxy Server is checked. If
it is, clear the check box and see if things improve. Of course, if this is
the case, then Spybot will more than likely be disabled.

None of the boxes on the LAN page should be checked for a default RoadRunner
connection. At least none of mine are.
