Need AT Code for slowing pulse dial

I need to slow down the pulse dial (dialing through a slow phone system),
but cannot find the correct initialization code. I have a 3Com USR 5686-03
Sportster Fax Modem.

When you set the dial-up number in your software ,include one or more
'commas' between the numbers for example :
0,8,0,0,, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 .Each comma introduces a specific delay .

There shouldn't be a need to change that speed.
Tone dialing spacing can be adjusted with the S11 register but the spacing
and length of the make/break pulses is set for the US phone system and
shouldn't need any
adjustments regardless of the phone system, it's a very forgiving type of
dialing.

But, having said that, you could try using &P1 which changes the ratio
between make and break slightly.
