- Need a modem for WinXP
- Posted by EB on January 17th, 2004
I am planning on buying a 'Hard' 56K modem for my system running WinXP,
because people seem to saty away from 'Soft' modems..
Any suggestion on make & model?
Thanks.

You can also have a look to the Olitec Self Memory V92 Ready (works even
when the computer is off) at (in french)

and the multitech ZBA supporting V34 high speed fax at :

A question about the the deskline V92 : on com1's website, the technical
specifications of this modem show that it supports fax speeds up to
28800 bps, and under the topic "send personalized colour faxes" on the
same page this speed is 14400 bps. Which one is accurate ?
