- networking with new comcast modem
- Posted by HowdyDoody on January 19th, 2006
Having just moved to a new house, and having Comcast install my Broadband, Phone, and Cable, I am wondering if the
latest modem that they installed would be used for wireless networking as the old one was. Their newest modem is the
Arris Touchstone Telephony Modem which controls the Broadband and the phone service. Would you still hook up the router
the same way as you would with the older Motorola modems ?
Thanks in advance for all help.

Yes, the order is cable to cable modem. cable modem to router, router to
computers.
