Turn on and then check both the modem log and the TCP/IP log.

Linux, nor the TCP/IP log.
I have to believe that the problem is with alentus.com because I get the same
delay when dialed up to Mindspring and/or Lanset. However on both I can hit
my mail box on another domain I have hosted by Pair Net in a flash. Bam! Mail
is there. Going to mail.adams-blake.com at alentus.com takes 20 seconds or
more.
As for DNS, this is the resolv.conf file.
domain mindspring.com #kppp temp entry
# search localdomain #entry disabled by kppp
# ppp temp entry
nameserver 207.217.126.81 # ppp temp entry
nameserver 207.217.77.82 # ppp temp entry
nameserver 207.217.126.81 #kppp temp entry
nameserver 207.217.77.82 #kppp temp entry
I wonder why I have duplicates of each server address. Makes no sense to me,
but what do I know.
I've written to Alentus but they deny the problem and say that their mail
servers are working fine. I just don't believe it... but have zero way to
prove it.
