That's probably all true. I haven't had technical problems since the cutover
from @Home either. AT&T was always solid and the phone service was
reasonable. Chat was always OK for the simple things which didn't require
much give and go for understanding. FWIW, I tried Comcasts e-mail support
asking the same question about USENET and have sent it back 3 times now.
They don't even get close to answering the question. It appears to be a bot
sending out FAQ's based on keywords. I'm going to test that by sending
gibberish and see what I get back. I actually have no problems and did not
encounter any during cutover. Just attempting to get a handle on which
newsservice the Transition customers should use. We know we can use either.
The question is which one should we use. For the moment I'm using both the
former ATTBI servers and GigaNews. Time will tell.
