I think the config. file it's wanting is simply a configuration file for
the unit itself. This would contain info. about what types of modems
are connected, users (though I think its optional...at least
initially), name servers, phone numbers for the lines, etc. You should
be able to create this directly in SNM and save it to a file which can
then be specified as the config. file.
Having said that, I hope you have better luck than I. I've got a
LanRover/4E that's also in "download mode" and no matter what I do I
can't seem to communicate with it. I've tried the IP download method
as well as loading IPX on the attached PC and trying the
"old-fashioned" method of recovering the device...but to no avail.
