Web-based traceroute
Posted by chichashaman@yahoo.com on August 25th, 2005

Is there a web-based site where I can do a traceroute by entering the
originating IP address and the destination IP address? I've got a
set-top box (MSNTV2) which doesn't have access to "command prompt".

If there was, it would trace the route from the hosting site to the
destination, probably not what you want.

Try some of the sites listed at http://www.traceroute.org/.

Not all are active any longer, however. I also don't think you get the
option of entering originating IP address (originating will be the
server/router you are triggering the trace from), but some do let you
specify destination (most just trace to the IP you are connecting from).

Try this site: http://www.dnsstuff.com/

Not sure about entering an originating IP other than your own though
