'email address not verified'
Posted by GTACONOR on February 3rd, 2006

I sign in to msn messenger, but I cannot change my display name, and it says
'email address not verified'. I get prompted, click here to verify but the
page it redirects me to does not seem to be of any use. I was wandering if
anyone could help....

Greetings,

You will need to verify your e-mail address. If you'd like a new verification e-mail sent to
you, simply go here:
https://memberservices.passport.net/...enger.msn.com/
Sign in to Passport when prompted, then click the "Confirm Now" button and then the "Send
Message" button.

Ok, this would work, but I am using an email address that forwards all emails
to another email address. The problem is, it will not forward the emails to
my current email address. there doesnt happen to be another way to verify?????

The easiest way is to change the eMail address and to change it back to the
right address. After that you will have a new confirmation eMail.

(just to provide a solution for google users)

Hi,

I had to go through this problem today, despite that I've had a passport
account for 3 years.

The simplest way is to login and then go to the account summary page. At
the top of this page, there will be a yellow box and in the box will be a
link to verify your account. Click on this link to get a new verification
email.

https://account.live.com/summarypage.aspx

HTH - It took me like 30 minutes to figure this out. Microsoft is so
clueless sometimes...
