Greetings Joe,
Can you elaborate on what you mean by "not working"? Aka, at which step does things stop
working and what error messages (if any) are appearing?

Hi Jonathan,
Well, I tried to download the windows messenger from the windows site, then
tells me that I had to install service pack 2, I use XP Professional. I did
download and install but don't see the windows messenger icon or file
anywhere.
I tried from control panel > Add/Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows
Components > Windows Messenger, but the value for messenger is 0.0 MB, I
tried to uncheck the box and rechecked again but nothing happens...
There is no errors, but I can't see the icon or any file for windows
messenger...
It looks like it is not installing from the service pack or from the web
site...
I don't know what to do... I have seen the .NET passport.... do I have to
sign in there first??? I don't remember how I did on my laptop, but there
it is working...
Thanks for your help...
