I recently installed a Sound Max superbeam array microphone and adapter and
it works fine with Dragon Naturally Speaking.
But, when I try to use Windows Messenger, as soon as I click on Accept a
Voice Conversation or anything to do with sound -- except configuration --
Messenger exits with an error message saying it had a problem. But it doesn't
give me any error number or anything.
I ran the audio configuration and that works fine in Messenger. It looked
like I would have no trouble at all, but when my brother tried to initiate a
voice contact to test his new mic I instantly crashed. In testing I discover
it crashes no matter what as soon as I try to do anything related to voice.
Don't have a video camera anymore so I can't test video.
The microphone is supposed to be tested and certified with Windows etc. etc.
but it sure crashes Messenger.
All ideas / suggestions / solutions appreciated.
