webcam error
Posted by aerwynah on November 2nd, 2005

A. I just installed the webcam driver (Creative) yesterday. When i
opened Creative WebCam Centre, it has no problem.. i can record/capture
my picture. The problem comes when i wanted to chat online (using window
MSN) with my colleagues using the webcam. They cannot see me. There is
an option under the camera screen, which says 1. Stop Sending Video; 2.
Show My Video as Picture-in-Picture. in which #1 option is ticked and i
cannot untick it or tick option #2. It's sort of disabled.

B. Another problem is, whenever i invite someone to have a video and
voice conversation, and they've accepted it, it suddenly closes the
conversation, and says The camera is in use. Please close any programs
using video, and try again.

C. I have gone through the Audio and Video Setup/Tuning Wizard
recently, but it says, camera error. The camera you selected is not
working properly, or may be in use by another program. The funny thing
is, it detects me when using the CreativeWebCam Centre, and no
application is opened while i was doing the Video Tuning Wizard. Can
you help me out?

make sure your camera is the one selected in turning. Also, I have found
that sometimes the picture shows up in the desktop in the left hand corner
and then other times it appears magicly as picture in picture.

Also, try removing drivers and reloading. Make sure applications like
Outlook is closed
