- Windows Messenger 5.1 won't remember passwords on W2K3 Terminal Server
- Posted by Hal Berenson on November 8th, 2005
We've got a couple of Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services servers. We're
using roaming profiles. If you log on to one of the servers and try to sign
in to Windows Messenger 5.1 you find it has remembered the password (as
expected since you checked the box to sign you in automatically) and you are
signed in automatically. On the other server you need to enter your
password. And, even if you check the "Sign me in automatically" box again
it won't remember your password.
Same domain. Same profile. Just different behavior on the two machines.
Any clue as to how to get the password to be remembered on the second
machine?
