- 2nd router as repeater ?
- Posted by hnd@pacific.net.sg on May 31st, 2005
Hello,
I've got 2 wireless routers. One G, where the Cable modem is connected
and an older one A. Both Linksys.
The newest router is unable to cover the whole area i'm looking for.
I've got a PC on 24h/24h equipted with a usb wireless acess point.
Could I make us of this PC to configure the older one to act as a
repeater ?
Thank you

If I understand correctly, you have 2 routers AND a USB wireless adapter on
the PC? (you said a USB access point, but I took it as you have a USB
wireless NIC). If that is correct, and you are running WinXP, you should be
able to "bridge" your wired USB NIC to your wired NIC which is plugged into
your access point. Do this in "network connections".
