- Belkin 4 Port Router Login/Password Problem
- Posted by Lawrence Fagan on September 13th, 2003
I have a Belkin 4 Port DSL Router which I have been using for months.
I upgraded the firmware when I first got it and have not been to the
setup screen since. I thought it was time to update the firmware again
and tried getting to the set up screen through 192.168.2.1 and
192.168.2.1:88 - I get a Login screen that asks me for my password. I
do not remember inserting any password previously and have tried many
to no avail. How do I get past this screen? I do not want to lose the
settings that I have in the router.

rtfm, there's a default user/password set for the router gui.
also, if you're running a web proxy agent you may have to disable it while
accessing the router maintenance gui...
