Can't get routers Web Configurator interface
Posted by Richard Milnes on May 20th, 2005

We have a Draytek Vigor2600G ADSL Router, which seems to be working,
except that I can't access the configuration screen.

All the PCs (running Windows XP) can access the internet, and the
default gateway is set as 192.168.1.1. This address can be pinged, and
reports itself as the router. But when I try this address in a web
browser, it "can't be found". I've tried two different browsers with
the same result.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

I've set up one of these, accessing its config server by using
http://192.168.1.1/ as the target address in the browser.

Exactly. But I can't.

Any ideas why not?

Nope. Suggest a 'hard' reset to factory settings may be the only
way forward. Hope you've kept a note of the settings you need...
