- D-Link 650+ Not enough free resources
- Posted by C Koehncke on January 1st, 2004
Win2000, W2k, Windows 2000
Service Pack 4
D-Link 802.11 wireless DWL-650+
Dell Latitude laptop
Problem:
Adapter has been working properly, however, upon inserting the card it
no longer works. Device manager shows exclaimation point and indicates
device could not be loaded due to no resources (Code 12).
Resolution:
Fresh restart of system WITHOUT card installed.
Insert wireless adapter card in DIFFERENT PCMCIA slot
Card should install properly.
You can then SHUTDOWN device using Add/Remove Manager and re-insert in
original PCMCIA slot and it should operate properly now as well.
Failing this, you may force the deletion of other network adapters
(typically a built-in Ethernet adapter) and re-start the system and
allow it to 're-discover' the existing devices.

I havent had any problems with the 650+ I'm running XP though. I did have a
problem with windows update installing a driver for it and causing it not to
work. maybe installing the factory driver might help clear up your problem
