- ethernet setup new addition
- Posted by vpenoso on February 4th, 2004
We just added 4 rooms to our house and I wired it with CAT-5 and the
homeruns lead to the basement.
trying to decide now what I want/need to do next.
I have a cable modem and a 4port broadband router for the laptop upstairs
and the printer....
DO I WANT TO GET AN ETHERNET SWITCH OR A HUB OR A PATCH PANEL? OR ARE THERE
ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS

You want a switch.
Uplink it to a port on your router.
And get a new keyboard - yours has a sticky CapsLock key...
