Has anyone here tried a power-line Ethernet adapter? I have one, a pair
of Dlink DHP-301's. They work relatively well, but I'm not finding them
to be as fast as advertised. According to Dlink, these adapters have an
advertised throughput of 200Mbps, which is twice that of 100Mbps
Ethernet (by definition). But I'm probably only seeing 50Mbps or less.
The powerline ethernets are a lot more reliable and faster than the
wireless WiFi links at long distances. But still I would've expected a
slight bit more performance than what I am getting.
What are other people noticing about their Powerline Ethernets?
