- Hidden DHCP?
- Posted by Jerry Abrams on October 17th, 2003
Switching ethernet networks, we retired a DHCP server and switched to a
different network. Two Win 95 computers are still attempting to connect
to that server. TCP/IP was set to find a DHCP server, microsoft
networking was disabled and so was TCP/IP, when it was pit back,
WINIPCFG still shows that DHCP server. Where is the coding hidden in
Win 95 and how do remove that coding. The Win 98 machines, NT machines
and higher all find the new server (which happens to be on a completely
different network.)
