So SP3 Resets the AutoMode back to 1 (User & Computer)

I can understand that it was the default before.

We only use Computer Auth for our 802.1x Installation (wired and wireless)

So I can’t configure the XML Profile via netsh until after SP3 is installed,
once I install SP3 I can’t connect to the network because as soon as I logon
my 802.1x authentication fails :O)

So word of warning for Computer Auth only users plan your installation
carefully because you may have to install a lan profile to set the AuthMode
back to computer only and make sure the Wired Autoconfiguration Service is
set to Automatic before rebooting after installing SP3.

I’m sure there is a hidden option to do all this using WSUS :O)
