- changing cable connection between laptops
- Posted by Rufina on October 25th, 2005
Hi, my network onnection on my old laptop was cable LAN/High-Speed internet.
I switched the cable to my new laptop (internet works), but now I can't get
internet access on my old laptop anymore when I put back the cable. Why
can't I switch cables to get internet on both laptops? How do I connect to
the internet on my old laptop? Thanks for your help.

Do I understand correctly that you have a cable modem Internet
connection? If so, try turning the cable modem off and back on after
you switch it from one computer to the other.
