- Connecting desktop to laptop for temporary internet access
- Posted by SCT Technology on February 18th, 2008
Is it possible to take a desktop computer and connect it to my laptop
(which is connected to the internet wirelessly) via a cross over
network cable? I need to get internet access to the desktop. This is
only a temporary solution to get my friend's computer online for some
updates.
Thanks!

Yes - provided that you enable Internet Connection Sharing
on the laptop. Click Start / Help and look for help on
Internet Sharing to see how it's done.
