I have two machines(PC & Laptop) behind a shared router. Both running XP Pro
and has no problems going about web browsing. The PC was installed with World
of Warcraft(WoW) a couple of days ago and I cannot manage to get myself
logged in to the game servers.

A quick check with Tracert and Ping to " us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com "
gives these results which leaves me helpless:

I don't know, but I think it has something to do with my TCP/IP, which in
XP, they cannot be uninstalled and reinstalled. I've tried the 'netsh' to
reset the stack, but it did no good. I did an uninstall on the NIC on the PC
and reinstallation of drivers, and that didn't help either.

Could any kind soul help me out here?

I forgot to add that this issue is probably not router related as I've tried
hooking up the PC directly to the modem, bypassing the router altogether. The
same error gives.

"Destination host unreachable" means that TCP/IP can't find a route to
the destination IP address. The most likely reason is that the
default gateway is undefined or incorrectly defined for the network
connection. What does "route print" show for the default gateway?

What "netsh" command did you use? XP SP2 has a new one that solves
many problems:

netsh winsock reset catalog

After these couple of days troubleshooting, I overlooked that Peer Guardian
was sitting on the system tray doing blocks to WoW and Blizzaed servers,
acting like a firewall.
