- enabling wireless card shuts down my computer.
- Posted by Mcstry on February 2nd, 2008
Hi,
Every time I try to enable the wireless card it shuts down my laptop and I
have to go in save mode and restore it to an earlier point when I didn't have
the wireless card on. Just before it shuts down it appears a brief
explanation but it shuts down so fast that I don't have time to read it. It
says something like:
Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
What this means??????????????

Hi
Try first another card to rule out bad card.

Hi,
I don't have another card, this computer has a card embedded in the
motherboard and before I buy a new wireless card I'll like to know that
anything else is wrong. The physical connection is not working either, it
sends packets but it is not receiving any, as I explainned before there are
no yellow or red crosses in the hardware and all the TCP/IP settings seem
correct and the card is ennabled. I'm able to ping the card but I'm not able
to ping the router. When I do ipconfig it appears the the all information
from the other router. I'll like at least to get this one working.
I don't have idea what is going on with my internet physical and wireless
connection.
Thanks for your replies but I'm still stuck. What do you recommend me?
