I am attempting to install a Sprint PCS wireless card on a customer's tablet
PC. After successfully installing the card, I get the following error when
trying to connect:
Dial-up networking RAS (remote network service) failed.
In addition, there is an error generated in the event log
(source:remoteaccess, eventid:20106):
Unable to add the interface %1 with the Router Manager for the IP protocol.
The following error occurred: Cannot complete this function
I know that the card is functional, because it works on the client's other
laptop. The problem does not appear to be due to OS misconfiguration, since
it persists after wiping and reloading the system. When I submit the error
to the Help and Support Center, it suggests configuring the RRAS service in
Rasmode. I have no idea what that means, and have been unable to find any
explanation online.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated
