How to fine tune TCPIP on xp
Posted by J on June 27th, 2008

Hello,
I am having problems on a PC connecting to our SBS vpn.
I ran a wireshark and there are a lot of TCP out of order errors.
Can someone advise me on how best to troubleshoot/fix these (windows
sizes, etc).
in the registry (or utility, if available).

Thanks,

When using VPN, it is often beneficial to reduce the Max MTU value.
(for example, the Cisco VPN client installation reduces it to 1300).
Use the free "DrTCP" tool to set your MTU value.
