- how to save password when doing Network Drive mapping
- Posted by Rabbit on September 24th, 2005
My network currently share a computer(Alpha)'s folder to other PCs, all
using Win XP Pro. I would like to create a common user account(UserA) at
Alpha, so that all other PCs can use this account for mapping alpha's shared
drive.
The problem now is the Map Drive function allows user to specify different
user account (impersonate) but it cannot save the password. So once the
computer restart, user is requried to enter the password again in order to
access the network drive.
If login user is different from network drive assigned user, anyway to save
the Network Drive's password?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Keith
