I'm hoping this is the right place to post this.
I have several Win XP SP2 machines networked. I cleaned installed all of
them with a RIS server.
Before XP I had Win2k SP4. A handy feature of 2000 was that I could map a
network share and run an installation program from the share while logged in
as a regular user by holding down Shift and right clicking on the setup file
and then selecting Run As from the pop up menu.
In windows XP this feature appears to be there even without the need to
press the Shift key, however when running from a network share from any
windows xp machine it always says that it can't find the setup file. What's
up with that?! it obiously can because I can map the share on the XP machine.
Any thoughts? Thanks
