- Make wireless laptop connect to printer on network
- Posted by Helpless Dan on April 30th, 2006
I know there is the wizard, but it won't find my printer. Specifics: I have
a Dell Inspiron notebook, recently crashed, all is good now except that I
cannot get it to find the printer that is established on a network.
Firewalls are down, work group name is the same on both computers, I have a
printer name that starts with "DAN-OIHQ........., etc., but don't know how to
format that information into the wizard to make it find the printer. The
printer is a Dell 940, the other computer is a Dell Dimension 4600, the
router is a Dell 2350, etc.. I'm certain it's a simple fix, but I can't find
it. Any advice?

Aloha Helpless,
I assume the printer is connected to the Dimension 4600? And the 4600 can
print to it? Is it shared on the 4600?
