- Network Drives Mapped to Share suddenly become "Dissconnected Netw
- Posted by Kevin Elgin on December 22nd, 2005
I am experiencing an issue with several computers where a drive that is
mapped to a share on another computer normally shows up in My Computer as:
(Share Name) on '(Server Name)' (F
but for some reason it changes to:
'Disconnected Network Drive' (F
I can still access the share and see all of the files on it, but there are a
couple programs that seem to lose thier way when this happens and it causes
all sorts of issues. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Yes, this is a standard problem, and there is a registry fix for it, which
you apply to the server.
