Hi,
I am a newbie to networking, but is there a way that you can give
someone access to the internet within a Lan without the PC seeing the
rest of the LAN network?
FI: the OS is XP?
thanks Hattersman

Here are two possible ways to do that:

1. Configure the PC's firewall program to block access to the LAN.

or:

2. Open the PC's LAN connection properties and un-check the boxes for
"Client for Microsoft Networks" and "File and Printer Sharing for
Microsoft Networks".
