Network settings troubleshouting (Network with active domain)

I’ve created a small network where I have two desktops, one laptop and one
router connected via a 5-positions switch. The first computer is running
WServer 2003 with active domain. The others (clients) are connected to this
domain.
The problem is that I need this schema periodically only for educational
reasons, so in regular circumstances I work with my desktop that is connected
to the internet directly via a router (adsl con.). The problem is that when I
configure the clients to the network domain then all the computers cannot
ping to the router address, which means that I don’t have access to the
internet and in order to confront this malfunction I have to run again the
network setup wizard and to shut down the machine many times in order to
‘see’ the router’s ip address while the same time I cannot ping the server.

which one is your default gateway? do all computers point to the default gateway? posting the result of the routing table here may help.

I have a sense that the problem comes from the router, which I didn’t
configurate and I let it with the default settings.

The routing table is:

The 192.168.1.2, 190.168.100.2 IPs belong to Desktop computer that I want to
connect direct to the internet
The 192.168.1.1 IP belongs to the Router that connect to the ISP with DNS
server the 195.170.0.2 & 195.170.2.1 IPs
The 190.168.100.1 is the IP address of the server computer and the IP
address of the DNS server that belong to the server 2003 computer

The first two lines are the problem. Do you assign two default gateways to those NICs? You should only assign the default gateway pointing to the Internet only.
