Setting program for internet access
Posted by Jir on May 5th, 2008

At one time I had set up which type of internet access I wanted windows to
use if a program called for internet access. At the time I only had a dial
up access through AOL. I now have a DSL access and want to change that
preference to use dial up only as a last resort. I do not remember where
that preference was located and my computer still trys to call up AOL if a
program I am using requires internet access. Any ideas on this as I would
love to change this preference?
Thanks

Start AOL, choose connection options next to sign on, follow instructions.

I also have this problem. I have been using AOL 9.0 SE for some time and
recently subscribed to DSL...but I still have AOL. When I try to access (for
example) the iTunes store, AOL automatically pops up with a prompt to enter
my password. Please post again if you have corrected this problem.
